Client Stories

Specific notes from performance audits and design system governance work — including where the engagement was imperfect.

Client note

They measured our checkout path on real mid-tier devices, not just lab Lighthouse scores — and the backlog ordered by revenue risk, not vanity metrics. The first sprint cut image weight on the payment step more than we expected.

Client note

Governance forums felt bureaucratic the first week; the RFC template was longer than our designers wanted. After two cycles it shortened, and we finally stopped shipping three button variants for the same intent.

Client note

The component debt review named our date-picker as the heaviest shared import — something we had joked about but never quantified. Consolidation is still underway, yet the report gave engineering cover to schedule it.

Extended story · Marketplace search

A Taipei marketplace asked us to audit search results and filters after mobile bounce rates climbed. We found filter chips hydrating a full analytics bundle on every toggle, plus hero imagery served at desktop dimensions on phone viewports.

Constraints: two-week window before a festival campaign, staging that only mirrored production overnight, and a design system mid-migration. We narrowed scope to search and result cards, deferred account pages, and paired with one engineer on the highest-severity fixes during week two.

Outcome: interaction delay on filter changes dropped enough that the campaign launched without a hotfix freeze. The mild reservation: documentation for the temporary analytics split lagged by a week, so a second squad briefly reintroduced the heavy import until the governance checklist caught it.
