Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to consulting engagements described on this site (frontend performance audits, design system governance projects, component debt reviews, and related retainers). It does not cover physical goods or software subscriptions — we do not sell those here.

Eligibility

Refunds apply to fees paid to App Valley Core under a signed engagement letter or accepted estimate. Informational prices on the website are not charges.

Timeframe to request

Submit refund or cancellation requests in writing to info@appvalleycore.click as soon as possible. For deposit refunds before kickoff, notify us at least 7 days before the agreed start date unless the engagement letter states otherwise.

Full or partial refunds

• Full refund of unused fees if we cancel the engagement for reasons attributable to App Valley Core and no substitute dates are mutually agreed.
• Deposit refund (typically 100%) if you cancel in writing 7 or more days before kickoff and no substantial preparatory work has been delivered.
• Partial refund if you cancel inside 7 days or after kickoff: we retain fees for work already performed (intake, measurement setup, workshops held, documents drafted) at the rates in the engagement letter, and refund the remainder of prepaid amounts where applicable.
• No refund for completed deliverables already accepted, or for retainer months already started.

Non-refundable items

• Third-party costs expressly approved by you in writing (for example, specialized device lab fees)
• Time already spent on measurement, workshops, or drafting after kickoff
• Administrative card or bank fees charged by payment processors, where those fees are non-recoverable

Work already started

Once baseline measurement or the first workshop has begun, fees covering that phase are earned. Remaining prepaid phases may be refunded or credited toward a rescheduled engagement at our discretion and yours.

Deposits

A typical project deposit is 40% to reserve dates. Deposits are applied to the final invoice. Deposit handling on cancellation follows the rules above.

No-shows & rescheduling

If your team misses a scheduled workshop without 24 hours’ notice, that session may be counted as delivered. Rescheduling with at least 48 hours’ notice is usually accommodated once per engagement without fee; additional reschedules may incur a scheduling fee stated in the engagement letter.

Purchased materials

We do not sell physical kits or course materials. Shared templates remain subject to the license in your engagement letter and are not “returned” for refund after delivery.

Refund process & timing

1. Email info@appvalleycore.click with your engagement reference, payment date, and reason.
2. We confirm eligibility within 5 business days.
3. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method when possible, or bank transfer within Taiwan, within 14 business days after approval.
